Mingma was an exceptional guide — calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the mountains. The Thorong La crossing was brutal but he paced us perfectly. Teahouse food was better than expected. Would not change a single day.

A quieter trek compared to the main Everest trails — which was exactly what I wanted. The valley itself is beautiful and the Kyanjin Gompa area stunning. Dawa was helpful and knowledgeable about the local Tamang culture. Took one star off only because two planned teahouses were closed out of season.

First trekking experience with Alta Nepal and it set the bar high. Perfect intro trek for our group of three — the sunrise from Poon Hill is genuinely unforgettable. Karma made the whole trip feel effortless. Already planning the EBC.
